Fascial Manipulation-Stecco® Level 1 will be held at the North Carolina Football Club (NCFC) in Raleigh, NC, July 29-31, 2022. Further information and registration details are available here. Picture by Colleen Whiteford, images courtesy of the Fascial Manipulation Association.

This course is excellent for any clinician who is seeking to advance their skill set and address root causes of problems versus symptom management. It embraces a holistic approach considering all past and present issues (injury, surgery, disease) as potentially relevant and contributing to current complaints – musculoskeletal, neurological, and internal organ. It’s not just a technique, but provides a solid methodology for determining where to treat – often remote to the primary complaint. I have much more information on Fascial Manipulation available here.

If your professional designation is not listed here please reach out to me at cwhitefd@aptfc.com and we can discuss your eligibility. There are so many different professional titles out there, and it’s possible that I have simply overlooked a relevant candidate. While many of you reading this may not be eligible to take the training, it’s likely you know someone who is – please pass this along!

Further information and registration guidelines are available here through Structure and Function, who is the provider for the course. This course consists of online lectures available once registration is complete. These comprehensive lectures can be done at your own pace, and reviewed repeatedly as desired for up to one month after completion of the course. In these presentations Carla and Antonio Stecco do an incredible job addressing fascial anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and the construct of the Fascial Manipulation® method. The second portion of the course is our in-person three day weekend, such as at NCFC (by the way this is a soccer facility). We review all the centers of coordination (treatment access points), the constructs of evaluation, determining the most optimal sites to treat, and follow up care. It’s a hands-on and closely supervised weekend directed at refining skills and equipping participants to be confident and effective in the FM method.

I hope you or someone you know will consider joining in this course – it’s fantastic material and I believe has the potential to revolutionize health care.

Wishing you health and joy!

I am a physiotherapist, graduate of Saint Louis University Class of 1984. I married my best friend and business partner, Bill, who is also a physiotherapist, in 1988. We have worked together all these years - an example of God's grace! Together we started Appalachian Physical Therapy which continues to thrive. I am a big believer in the power of touch, the manual therapies, and treating holistically. There are many alternatives to medications, surgeries, and testing, but people are often uninformed. My perspective emphasizes the role of the connective tissues including the fascia. Lack of attention to this structure is the source of many physical ailments - our bodies are truly fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139)! I am passionate about helping people of all ages and diagnoses maximize their health, and empowering them to understand their role in management and prevention of problems.
